Gutters overview
Gutters do a simple job that protects a lot of expensive parts of your house. They catch the water coming off the roof and move it away from the walls and foundation. When they sag, clog, or overflow, that water ends up in your basement, your landscaping, or behind your siding.
Seamless gutters are formed on site from a continuous coil of aluminum, cut to the exact length of each run. With no joints along the straight sections, there are fewer places to leak. Corners and downspout outlets are the only seams to seal.
Leveled Up Construction installs and replaces gutters for homes and businesses in Sharpsville and Mercer County. We check the fascia behind the old gutters, plan downspout locations so water goes where it should, and give you a written estimate before we start.
What Our Gutter Work Includes
- 01
Seamless aluminum gutters
Gutters are formed on site to fit each run of your roof edge. Fewer joints means fewer leaks, and we can match common trim colors to your house.
- 02
Correct sizing and pitch
Gutters are sized for how much roof drains into them and hung with a slight slope toward the downspouts. That keeps water moving instead of sitting and overflowing.
- 03
Downspouts and extensions
Downspouts are placed to handle the water load from each section of roof. Extensions or splash blocks carry water away from the foundation so it does not soak the soil next to the walls.
- 04
Gutter guards
Guards keep leaves, pine needles, and shingle granules out of the gutter. They cut down on cleaning and help prevent the clogs that cause overflow and ice buildup.
- 05
Fascia repair and replacement
Rotted fascia boards cannot hold gutters securely. We replace soft or damaged fascia before new gutters go up, and can wrap it in aluminum for low upkeep.
Signs You Need New Gutters
- ✓ Water spills over the edge of the gutters during heavy rain.
- ✓ Gutters are sagging, pulling away from the house, or have loose hangers.
- ✓ Joints between gutter sections drip or leave streaks on the siding.
- ✓ You see peeling paint, rot, or stains on the fascia boards.
- ✓ Water pools near your foundation or your basement gets damp after storms.
- ✓ Heavy icicles hang from the gutters every winter.
What Affects the Cost of New Gutters
Gutter jobs are measured by the house, so there is no honest flat price without walking the roof line. These are the factors that change it.
- Total length
- The number of feet of gutter and downspout is the starting point. A small ranch and a large two-story home with several roof lines are very different jobs.
- Gutter size and material
- Larger gutters and heavier-gauge aluminum handle more water and resist dents and sagging. The right size depends on your roof area and pitch.
- Fascia condition
- Rotted fascia has to be replaced before new gutters can be hung. We check behind the old gutters so you know about this before the job starts.
- Guards and extras
- Gutter guards, downspout extensions, and aluminum fascia wrap each add material and labor. Many homeowners add them at install time to cut down on maintenance.
- Height and access
- Second and third-story gutters, steep slopes in the yard, and tight spaces need more ladder setup and time than a single-story house with easy access.
